This video will provide a closer look at creating Lexus Profiles, a key element required to fully enjoy the system, which allow drivers to automatically load their preferred settings whenever they’re in the vehicle.
[A smartphone highlights the Lexus App.. A hand touches a multimedia display].
Your Lexus Profile is created within Lexus App, and when paired with a vehicle equipped with Lexus Interface, you can enjoy all benefits this system has to offer.
Let’s get started!
[A Lexus vehicle drives along the road.]
First, there are different types of driver profiles:
[A multimedia screen is highlighted. It displays a welcome message to the primary driver.]
The Primary driver is typically the person who enrolls the vehicle.
[The multimedia screen displays two additional profiles.]
In addition, two secondary profiles can be saved to the vehicle.
[A caption reads: “Accounts can be programmed with: Personalized Navigation, Radio Favourites, Vehicle and Notification Settings”]
All three can be programmed with personalized navigation, radio favorites, vehicle and notification settings.
[A caption reads: “Only Primary Driver Has access to: Vehicle Health Reports, Designated Remote Commands, Manage Services for the vehicle, And more
– but only the Primary driver can receive vehicle health reports, designate remote commands, manage services for the vehicle, and more.
[A Lexus vehicle drives along the road.]
[A caption reads: “Only one driver profile can be active at a time”
A few things to keep in mind about driver profiles, while in the vehicle, only one driver profile may be active at a time.
[The multimedia screen displays a ‘delete primary driver’ message.]
[The screen advises that profiles and devices have been deleted.]
No information is exchanged across profiles, but if the Primary driver is deleted from the vehicle, the other profiles will also be deleted.
[A Lexus vehicle is highlighted.]
[A caption reads: “Concept vehicle shown”]
[A smartphone displays the Lexus app.]
Creating and loading a driver profile is most easily done during registration within the Lexus app.
[The smartphone displays account creation, PIN creation and vehicle registration.]
This process will create a Lexus account, set its PIN and register the vehicle.
[A driver is highlighted. She uses the touchscreen.]
Once this is done, the Primary driver profile can be saved to the vehicle simply by entering that same PIN when the vehicle detects the profile.
[A multimedia screen is highlighted. A Lexus vehicle drives along the road.]
And from here, it’s also easy to link the profile to a Bluetooth®-enabled mobile device or key fob.
[The screen displays a Set Up Bluetooth message.]
[A caption reads: “The Bluetooth word mark and logos are registered trademarks owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks by Lexus is under license. A compatible Bluetooth enabled phone must first be paired. Phone performance depends on software, coverage and carrier.”]
Once the profile is saved, a notification will appear to select Setup Bluetooth.

This new system makes it easier than ever to get things done – when and where you need to – whether that’s connecting to your smartphone, listening to tunes, or getting directions to your home.
[A Lexus vehicle drives along the road.]
Let’s take a few minutes to put the spotlight on some of this system’s best features.
For additional information on any of these topics, please be sure to view the applicable Know Your Lexus videos.
[A man uses a smartphone.]

Not much in today’s world happens without the help of a smartphone, and Lexus knows this well.

[A smartphone is highlighted.]
[A hand connects a phone cord.]
[An Apple CarPlay screen is highlighted.]

This emphasis on mobile device integration can also be seen with the Lexus app – a key part of the Lexus Interface experience.

– and it’s also how you’ll manage many of Lexus Interface’s great new features, like Lexus profiles and digital keys.
[A screen displays profile information.]
So, what is a Lexus profile?
[Animation highlights profile settings.]
As the name implies, a Lexus profile features saved settings specific to individual drivers, including the primary owner and other drivers with the Lexus app installed on their phone.
[A multimedia screen is highlighted.]
[A hand selects a profile from a list of options.]
[A smartphone is highlighted.]
Have multiple drivers in your family? Great! – you can have a profile for everyone provided they have downloaded and created a Lexus Profile.
[A link to the Lexus mobile app is displayed on screen.]
[Saved profiles are displayed.]
Each profile is paired to a unique mobile device and is loaded up with all the settings that driver prefers. Up to three drivers can save their profile to the vehicle for even greater convenience.
[A smart key fob is highlighted.]
[A Lexus vehicle drives along the road.]
You can even pair a Lexus profile to a physical smart key fob, so that whenever it’s used, the vehicle will know who’s using it and automatically load their profile to the vehicle.

[A smartphone screen displays the Digital Key feature.]
But when it comes to keys, Lexus Interface goes even further with the available Digital Key feature.
[Two people enter a Lexus vehicle.]
Through your Lexus app account, and after being shared by the primary driver, you can now use your mobile device exactly as you would a smart key fob – to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle via Bluetooth connection when you are in close proximity to the vehicle.
[A caption reads: “Digital Key is a convenience feature. Guests should carry their key FOB with them at all times.”]
